Response on Ethics of Engineering

Engineering Ethics is the field of applied ethics which examines and sets standards for engineers’ obligations to the public, their clients, employers and the profession. This discovery has the opportunity to shine light on the facilities operators and operations as well as other team members. The engineer should definitely report her finding to the operator and also management to get the problem resolved and also to cover her tracks in case of an investigation. If the same techniques of operations have expanded throughout a 10 year span without knowledge of faulty procedures than yes people’s lives are in danger not only inside of the company but to the consumers as well. The engineer has to take the risk of the operator knowing exactly what she was doing and be able to make the ethical decision to report it and follow up on it.
